decree of July 16, 2021, any producer or holder of waste (paper\/cardboard, plastic, metal, glass, wood) is obliged to sort it.<\/p>\n<p>From January<sup>1<\/sup>, 2022, this &#8221;&nbsp;Decree <strong>5 flows<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8221; has been extended to the &#8221;&nbsp;Decree <strong>7 flows<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8221; by including 2 new waste families&nbsp;:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Plaster<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Mineral fraction waste<\/strong> (concrete, brick, rubble, tile, slate, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In 2025,&nbsp;we will switch to the &#8221;&nbsp;Decree <strong>8 streams<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8221; with <strong>textile<\/strong> waste.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong><em><img decoding=\"async\" draggable=\"false\" role=\"img\" class=\"emoji\" alt=\"\ud83d\udc49\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/14.0.0\/svg\/1f449.svg\"> <\/em>Sorting and collection methods<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Waste must be sorted into <strong>8 different skips<\/strong> by the producer.<\/p>\n<p>In order to ensure traceability of flows, the collection service provider will provide an <strong>annual collection and recovery certificate<\/strong> mentioning&nbsp;:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Nature<\/strong> and <strong>quantity of<\/strong> waste collected<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>place<\/strong> where waste is recycled<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This certificate must be submitted between <strong>January<sup>1<\/sup> and March 31 of the current year<\/strong> for waste treated and collected in the previous year.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2><strong><em><img decoding=\"async\" draggable=\"false\" role=\"img\" class=\"emoji\" alt=\"\ud83d\udc49\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/14.0.0\/svg\/1f449.svg\"> <\/em>Risks of non-compliance  <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>The competent authority<\/strong> (Mayor, President of the EPCI or Prefect) can order an <strong>audit<\/strong> by an <strong>independent expert<\/strong> to prove non-compliance with source separation obligations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It must be completed within <strong>two months<\/strong> of the authorities&#8217; request, and sent within<strong> 15 days<\/strong> of completion.<\/p>\n<p>If the audit reveals shortcomings&nbsp;:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Individuals<\/strong> are liable to an administrative fine of up to <strong>\u20ac1,500<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For <strong>legal entities<\/strong>, the fine can be
